Board Pictures and Bios Chuck Negas President Chuck Negas is the Corporate Commercial Manager for Northwest Exterminating. Started in 1951, Northwest Exterminating is a family-owned full service termite and pest control company and is a Bronze Sponsor for the Georgia Chapter of CAI. Chuck has been with the company over ten years, starting as a technician and later working as an inspector. He also was the company’s first Quality Assurance Director and first Sentricon Department Manager. Chuck has served on the Membership Committee and other areas of CAI-Georgia and was the 2007 recipient of the Rita Kennedy Award. [ Back to top ] Teddy Russell President Elect Teddy Russell is the Chief Financial Officer for Russell Landscape Group. He received his BBA from the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia. Teddy and Russell Landscape Group are very active within CAI and other organizations including the Nashville CAI chapter. Russell Landscape Group is a Platinum Sponsor for the Georgia Chapter of CAI. Teddy has participated and chaired the golf committee for CAI, serves as a Board Member for the North Fulton Chamber of Commerce, and participates in the Legislative, Membership and Community Service committee for the BOMA organization. He is married to Courtney and they have one son, William. [ Back to top ] Steven M. Winter, Esq. Past President Mr. Winter is a partner at the law firm of Weinstock & Scavo, P.C. in Atlanta, Georgia. He is a member of the Business & Finance and Real Estate sections of the Atlanta Bar Association, and the Real Property and Corporate Counsel sections of the State Bar of Georgia. His practice focuses on general corporate real estate, resort & land development, and community association law. Mr. Winter has been actively involved with Community Associations Institute since 1987, having served on various committees, including the Newsletter and Program committees, and as Vice President. Mr. Winter has spoken at seminars sponsored by the State Bar of Georgia, Real Property section and CAI for over 16 years. [ Back to top ] Gavin Cobb Treasurer Prior to becoming the owner and president of Heritage Property Management, Gavin worked for a Big 4 Accounting firm, specializing in real estate. He also served as the Director of Real Estate for a publicly-traded company. Gavin’s strong financial background has been a tremendous benefit to his clients, and his professional and "hands-on" approach has enabled him to respond immediately to their needs. Gavin is also a licensed Community Association Manager and has extensive experience in the management of homeowner associations. [ Back to top ] Eric Henning, AMS, PCAM® Vice President Eric Henning is the Vice President of Community Management Associates, Inc. Eric is a second-generation property manager. He and his father are the first ever father-son PCAMs in the nation for CAI. In addition to serving on the Legislative Action Committee for CAI, Eric was the recipient of the 2000 Rita Kennedy Award, served for two consecutive years as the Chairperson for the CAI Georgia Chapter Magazine, Georgia Commons, and has also served as Treasurer. [ Back to top ] Kathy Dorough Secretary Kathy K. Dorough is a 1986 graduate of the University of Georgia School of Law. She is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the DeKalb County Bar Association and the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers. Kathy began her legal career as a judicial clerk in the State Court of Fulton County. She later served as a senior staff attorney at the Georgia Court of Appeals. She is a graduate of Leadership DeKalb and was the editor of Georgia Commons for three years and has published numerous articles in that magazine. In addition to her practice at the firm, Kathy has served as a Magistrate Court Judge in DeKalb County since 1997. Kathy practices primarily in the area of community associations law. [ Back to top ] John Lueder Director John Lueder is the founding member of The Lueder Law Firm, LLC located in Alpharetta. The firm specializes exclusively in community association law and currently employs seven attorneys and ten collection paralegals. John was licensed to practice law in Georgia in 1995. Most of John’s over twelve years of practice has been concentrated on community association law and litigation. John has also served on the board of directors for his last three homeowners associations, including serving as president and treasurer. From this experience, and from his experience as an attorney practicing community association law, John is in a unique position to provide both legal and practical advice to the firm’s community association clients. John earned his Bachelor Degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1992 and his Juris Doctorate Degree from Georgia State University College of Law in 1995. [ Back to top ] Dan Ross Director Dan Ross is currently Santa at NorthPoint Mall and has held that position since 1997. Being Santa at NorthPoint has been a highlight in his life and he has helped increased the mall traffic considerably while attracting new families to the mall and being a positive force for the mall all year long. At present, he sees about 25,000 children each Christmas season. Dan is President of the Sutton Pines Condominium Association and has held that elected position for 10 years. During his tenure, he has helped to improve the outlook for all residents by decreasing crime in the area and listening to the resident’s needs. He led the charge for a major property renovation in 2000 which resulted in the property values doubling. He also saw the need to inform residents through the creation and distribution of a newsletter, The Sutton Times, which his wife Lolly, is the Editor. Dan also had a long and successful career with Pitney Bowes, working in the areas of sales and sales management for the company and retired from Pitney Bowes in 1996. [ Back to top ]
